Joshua Strzyzewski

Joshua John Strzyzewski, age 49 of Charlevoix Michigan, passed away on December 6, 2022, at Acension St. John's Hospital in Detroit.  He was born on August 8, 1973 in Kalamazoo Michigan to Ronald Strzyzewski and Carrol (Gill) Pines.

Josh grew up in Charlevoix. While in Charlevoix High School, he played in football and soccer. After high school he attended NCMC in Petoskey, and worked for Pearsall Construction Company.  Josh loved fishing. Josh's stepfather had a boat, and they would take off into Lake Michigan and spend hours just enjoying life.

Joshua is survived by his his parents, Ron and Carrol, his son Cedar, his two daughters Pua of Detroit, Sequoia, of Gaylord and his Aunt Bennie Gill of Boyne City.

Josh is proceeded in death by his grandparents, Harry and Clara (Kowalski) Strzyzewski of Manistee Michigan, Phyllis (Martin) Gill, Benjamin Gill of Charlevoix, and his stepfather Jeffrey Pines.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 20, at the First Baptist Church of Charlevoix.  Joshua's family will welcome friends from 12:30 until the time of services at 1:00.  Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family will appreciate any charitable donations be made in the memory of Joshua to the Gift of Life Foundation, 3861 Research Park Dr., Ann Arbor, MI 48108-2217.
