John Robbins

JOHN M. ROBBINS 87, of Mancelona, died April 1, 2007 at Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility. John was born on May 9, 1919 in Mancelona, the son of William and Sarah (Bartholomew) Robbins. He was a resident of Mancelona his whole life and enjoyed camping and woodworking. In 1944 he married Inez Baber who preceded him in death in 2001. Also preceding him in death were three daughters, PhyllisUnderwood, Alice Howes, Kay Justice, three brothers, Loren, Wilford and Otis as well as his parents. He is survived by a son Len (Wanda) Robbins of Berrien Springs, MI., a daughter Sandy (David) Hedges of Owosso, a step-son Roy (Phyllis) Baber of Buchanan, 7 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 5, 2007 at Three p.m. at the Antrim Church of Christ in Mancelona. Yousef "Yogi" Jabara will officiate. Interment will take place in Fairview Cemetery in Mancelona. Visitation will take place on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. Memorial contributions may be made to the Antrim Church of Christ.
