John D Czarnecki

John Czarnecki, 69, of Kewadin, passed away on September 12, 2023. He was born on April 29, 1954, in Macomb County, the son of Joseph and Elva (Churchill) Czarnecki.

John was always a family man and was interested in family history. He continued on the family legacy of serving his country in the United States Navy. John was kind, helpful, and truly knew the value of hard work. He spent numerous years working at the Elk Rapids Market where he would go on to develop many friendships.

Surviving John in death is his loving wife, Marie, four children, Joseph (Joyce) Czarnecki of Maui, HI, Erin Pieske of Kewadin, Adam Czarnecki of Acme, Brian Czarnecki of Kewadin, one sister, Paula Spearman of East Jordan, four grandchildren, Logan Pieske, Merrick Czarnecki, Evalynn Pieske, Zoe Czarnecki, one step-grandson, Sean Perez.

Preceding him in death are his parents, one sister, Roberta, two brothers, James and Joseph.

Visitation will be held from  5 to 7 p.m. with a vigil at 7 p.m. on Friday, September 15 at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Elk Rapid. A Memorial Mass will take place on Saturday, September 16, at 11 am. with visitation from 10 a.m. until the start of Mass. A luncheon will follow the mass, and interment will take place at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Kewadin.
