Joan Hochstein

Joan F. Hochstein, 91, of Charlevoix, passed away on December 24, 2025. Joan was born on December 14, 1934, in Detroit, the daughter of John and Eugenia (Pawlicki) Lewandowski.

She worked as a secretary for the Chrysler Corporation then as an antique dealer.

She had an antique shop on Intermediate Lake from 1983-1995 then went on to an antique mall in Traverse City. Joan traveled the country with her husband Ron Hochstein doing antique shows specializing in dolls and coins under the name Pandora's Box.

She loved being with loved ones, singing to Elvis Presley and anything that had to do with Patrick Swayze.

Joan is survived by 6 children, Kurt Hochstein (Nancy), Kirsten Hochstein, Kim Winstead (Dave), Kris Hochstein, James Martens, Robbin Moffat (Ron), many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Thomas Martens, second husband Ron Hochstein, 3 siblings, John Lewandowski, Barbara McDougall, Connie Tacoma as well as her parents.
