JESSE P MOORE, 85, of Bellaire, died Sunday May 18, 2008 at Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility in Bellaire. Jesse was born December 7, 1922 in Owosso, Michigan to John and Dorothy (Pinkerton) Moore. On October 30, 1946 he married the love of his life, Ruth Ella DePeel in Kalkaska, and they made their home in Bellaire. Jesse worked at Meeder's Lumber, and then retired after 25 years employment as a machinist at Lamina Bronze is Bellaire. He enjoyed gardening and the outdoors, and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Jesse cherished his wife, family and spending time with his grandchildren. After a long and courageous battle against Parkinson's disease, surrounded by his wife and family, Jesse told his family he loves them, then peacefully went home to be with his Lord. He was a member of the Bellaire Wesleyan Church. Jesse leaves behind his wife Ruth, their children Lydia (Charlie) Saddison of Mancelona, Dan (Val) Moore of Alba, Kathryn Moore of East Jordan, John (Alvareta) Moore of Bellaire, Dorothy (Ed) Potrafke of Eastport and Tim (Joanie) Moore of Mancelona; his brothers Ralph (Kaye) Moore of New Era, and Lawrence (Sandy) Moore of Rockford. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandson. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Francis, and sister Margaret McDonald. Visitation will be Tuesday May 20 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Bellaire Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes, and on Wednesday May 21 at Bellaire Wesleyan Church from 10:00 a.m. until time of service, 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at the Mancelona Township Cemetery.
