Jane Ellen Lawson

Jane Ellen Lawson gracefully passed away on May 8, 2024, in Charlevoix, Michigan. Jane was born on July 16, 1934 in Dearborn, Michigan to the late Kenneth and Alice (Baker) Tunison. She was a loving mother, sister, and friend to many. Jane's gentle soul touched the lives of all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
 
 Throughout her life, Jane found joy in weaving, crafting, and collecting antiques. Her creative spirit shone through in her hobby of refurbishing items to make them new again. Not only was she talented with her hands, but she also had a generous heart. Jane dedicated many years as a volunteer at Challenge Mountain in Boyne City, leaving a lasting impact on her community.
 
 Jane's legacy will be carried on by her surviving family and friends. She is survived by her sons Jeff Lawson and Jared L. Tunison, her daughter Julie Lawson, and her cat Lily. Preceding her in death were her daughter Cynthia D. Lawson, sister Roberta Hosper, and brothers Richard Tunison and Melville Tunison.

 To those who knew Jane personally, she will be remembered for her kindness, creativity, and unwavering love for those around her. May she rest in peace knowing that she has left behind a legacy of compassion and warmth that will never be forgotten.
