Jane L. Holland

Jane L. Holland,  87, of Central Lake, passed away on August 10, 2024 at her home.

   Jane was born on July 26, 1937, in Cadillac, MI, the daughter of Floyd and Neva (Goodwin) King.

   She loved cross stitching and making quilts for her family, sewing, traveling, swimming and was known as a "great" baker of homemade pizza as well as cookies.   She was longtime superintendent of Sunday School at the Central Lake First Congregational Church and worked for Char-Em for many years in transportation.

   Surviving are her husband of 70 years Donald Holland, 3 children, Kathy (Pete) Kalinowski of Grand Rapids, Susan (John) Bouwmeester of Central Lake, Rick (Charlotte) Holland of Lowell, MI, 3 grandchildren, Melissa (Scott) Sheppard of Grand Rapids, Jason (Hannah) Bouwmeester of Rapid City ,Travis (Chanelle) Bouwmeester of Fayettville, GA, and 8 great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Jillene, Abigail, Alex, Liberty, Andrew, Scarlet, and Promise Bouwmeester.

   She was preceded in death by her parents, grandson Ryan Powell and a brother John King.

   A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at the Pleasant Valley Free Methodist Church with pastor Dennis Clark officiating.
