James E. LaBrecque

James E. LaBrecque,  81, of Mancelona, passed away on December 15, 2024 at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City. 

   James was born on May 30, 1943, in Boyne City, MI, the son of William and Edith (Grams) LaBrecque.  

   He enjoyed hunting, golfing, woodworking, camping and trips to the casino. 

   Surviving are 2 daughters, Pammy (Bill) Callesen and Jami LaBrecque both of Mancelona, 3 granddaughters, Kayla, Anna and Emily, 2 sisters, Nancy (Charles) Mathers of Charlevoix, and Debra Iverson of East Jordan. 

   He was preceded in death by his wife Mary, 2 sisters, Laura Wells, Ronni Olsen, a brother William LaBrecque and his parents. 

   No services are planned. 

   Arrangements are in the care of the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
