Jack V. Pilkington

Jack V. Pilkington,  86, of Eastport, passed away on December 12, 2024 at his home.

   Jack was born on January 17, 1938, in Grand Rapids, MI, the son of Harris and Mary Wanda (Dutkiewicz) Pilkington.

   He served in the U.S. Air Force and was an avid hunter and fisherman in his younger years.   Most of all he loved being on the water whether it be the ocean in Florida or Torch Lake in Antrim County.

   On October 3, 1970, in Oakdale, NY, he married Paulette M. Langstaff who survives.   Also surviving are a daughter Beth (Jeff) Leininger of Commerce Twp, MI, 2 grandchildren, Brandon (Taylor) Leininger of Hartland, MI, and Jacklyne Leininger of Commerce Twp., MI.

   He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Mike Pilkington and a cousin Larry Briggs.

   No services are planned at this time.

   Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the American Heart Association.

   Arrangements are in the care of the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
