Herbert "Jim" James Risteau

Herbert James Risteau, 77 of Central Lake, died September 29, 2023 at home surrounded by his family.  He was born September 9, 1946 in Central Lake, the son of Arnold and Bernice (Hyde) Risteau and graduated from Central Lake High School in 1964.

   Jim was a 25 year, dedicated employee of Golf Western.  He also worked for 8 years at Harbor Industries.  In his free time he enjoyed hunting and fishing and all the offerings of the great outdoors.  He especially enjoyed his beagle dog Annie Mae and Sassy his Pomeranian.  Jim was a member of the 7^th Day Adventist Church of Central Lake.

   He is survived by his wife Janet, his son James “Jimmy” (Tamara) Risteau, step-daughters Paula (Ryan) Stevens, April Starkey, grandchildren Amber, Amanda, Katie, Stephanie, McKenzie, Trenton, great-grandchildren Luke, Delaina, Reaghan, many nieces, nephews, and too many friends to mention.

   He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Christina Risteau, siblings Arnold “Sonny” Risteau, Frederick Risteau, Joyce Sylvester, 2 infant brothers, and step-son-in-law Ross Starkey.

   Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 3^rd at 1pm at the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes with Pastor Chris Ames officiating.  The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
