Harold Drengberg

Harold William Drengberg, 76, of Charlevoix, formerly of Bay City, passed away suddenly on Sunday, June 11, 2023 at his home.  He was born on February 16, 1947, in Bay City, MI, the son of Harold and Lucille (Williams) Drengberg.

Harold graduated from Whittemore High School and went on to obtain his undergraduate degree from Central Michigan University before earning his Master’s Degree in Public Health from the University of Michigan.  He returned to the Bay City area to raise a family and begin a successful career in accounting.  In 1992, he and his wife retired to Charlevoix for the summers, and spent their winters in Venice, Florida.  Harold was always extremely interested in US history; he read hundreds of books over the years, and spent many road trips visiting historical sites around the country.  He also enjoyed travelling to Hawaii, and went on several cruises. 

On August 18, 1970, in Bay City, Harold married the love of his life, Linda (Fulton) Drengberg, who survives.  Also surviving are his three children, Aaron (Nicole) Drengberg of St. Charles, MI, Tyler Drengberg of Fraser, CO, and Stacey Drengberg of Venice, FL; and his grandson, William Drengberg.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Harold’s family has chosen to celebrate his life privately at this time.
