Ginger S Rhea

Ginger Rhea, age 55 of Elk Rapids, Michigan, passed away peacefully at her home on July 22, 2026. Born on September 29, 1970 in Levelland,Texas, Ginger was the cherished daughter of Carol and Samuel Rhea. A proud graduate of Elk Rapids Schools, Ginger spent her life as a dedicated long-time member of the community, living and working in the area she held so dearly in her heart. 

Ginger was a homemaker and entrepreneur with a free spirit. Ginger possessed a profound artistic soul, finding immense joy in creating art, and pouring her love into the lives of her grandchildren, and those around her.

She is survived by her devoted husband of thirty years, Brian Scram, her loving daughters, Megan Scram and Brandy Troppman; and her two grandchildren, Arthur and Maxwell, who will forever carry her gentle spirit forward.

A celebration of Ginger’s life and funeral service will be held at the Mortensen Funeral Home located at 2333 S Main St, Central Lake, MI 49622 on Saturday, September 12th. Visitation hours will take place from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm, followed directly by the funeral service from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm.

In honor of Ginger’s memory, floral tributes or memorial contributions to support her remaining family during this difficult transition will be received with heartfelt gratitude. A dedicated donation box will be available at the time of service for those who wish to contribute in person.
