Geraldine Irene Windish

Geraldine I. Windish,  97, of Mancelona, passed away on June 24, 2023.

   She was born on August 22, 1925, in Bedford Township, MI, the daughter of Elmer and Erma (Riemer) Burgess.

   Geraldine was a homemaker raising 14 children.   She enjoyed cooking and baking, especially bread and donuts.

   She is survived by 5 children, Richard (Sue) Windish of FL, Ron Windish of Mancelona, Randy Windish of Mancelona, Roger (Sandy) Windish of Mancelona, Rory (Lisa) Windish of Bellaire, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

   Preceding her in death were 9 children, Rick, Rod, Dennis, Ryan, Rocky Windish, Charllot Kler, Paulette Pendergrass, Gail Light, Gloria Allen, her husband Paul Windish as well as several grandchildren.

   Funeral services will take place on Friday, June 30, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes with visitation from 12 noon until the time of services.  Rick Scott will officiate.  

    Interment will follow in Chapman Cemetery, Custer Township.

   Memorial contributions may be made to the Antrim County Animal Shelter, 4660 M-88, Bellaire, MI, 49615.
