Georgann Kosiara Lucas

Georgann Kosiara Lucas, 85, of Alden, passed away November 2, 2026, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City. Georgeann was born on June 4, 1941, in Bellaire, to Ray and Lena (Turk) Harrington.

Georgann was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was known for her love of cooking and for the joy it brought to both her and those she fed. Playing bingo and visiting the casino were some of her other favorite hobbies. Georgann loved all dogs, especially border collies, and her current dog, an English bulldog Boogie, will miss her forever. She loved the outdoors and camping, as well as watching the hummingbirds in the summers of Northern Michigan.

Surviving Georgann are two children, Jill Kosiara and Todd Kosiara, both of Bellaire, sisters Shirley Grody of Mancelona and Dawn Hebden of Bellaire, four grandsons, Josh, Dylan, Noah, and Brandon, as well as three great grandchildren. As the youngest of 12 children, the bond she shared with her siblings will live on forever. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, Victor Kosiara and James Lucas, as well as her daughter Beth Craft.
