Gary Lakies

Gary F. Lakies, 76, of Bellaire, passed away on March 6, 2015 at his home. Gary was born on October 3, 1938, in Custer Township, MI, the son of Howard and Mary (Ogden) Lakies. Gary resided in Antrim County his entire life and was employed for Lamina Bronze for 36 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding snowmobiles as well as working on them and making maple syrup. On October 28, 1961, in East Jordan, he married Mary Waybrant who survives. Also surviving are 3 children, Karen McClary of Bellaire, Gary (Trina) Lakies of Bellaire, Jill (Dan) Holz of Bellaire, a sister Jacqueline Lakies of Stockton, CA, as well as 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 sisters, Judy Irish and Kay Lakies. No services are plannned at this time.
