Fredrick Lee Watros

Fredrick Lee Watros 70 of Charlevoix, passed away on December 3, 2025 at McLaren Northern Michigan Hospital. He was born December 19, 1954 in Bellaire the son of Fredrick and Betty (Fuller) Watros.

Fred was a hardworking employee of DCL and retired after many years of dedicated service. He was a family man who loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He enjoyed helping people, talking with people, and never met a stranger! Fred could often be found in the great outdoors hunting, fishing, or camping. He also liked spending time in Mancelona in the woods away from all the noise of the road.

Surviving is his wife Sundae, children Summer Watros of North Carolina, Josh (Sheri) Watros of Grand Rapids, mother Betty Watros of Central Lake, grandchildren Jacob Dettloff, Allie (Taylor) Heffron, Jonathan and Nathaniel Watros, great grandchildren Eli, Lewy, and Logan Heffron, sisters Angie Watros, Debbie (Brent) Patton, Vickie (Bob) LaPeer all of Central Lake, and many nieces, nephews, and their families.

A Memorial service will be held Thursday, December 11, at 3 p.m. at the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes with the family receiving friends from 2 p.m. until the time of service.
