Frances A. Grody

Frances A. Grody, 93, of Mancelona, passed away on September 3, 2022 at her home.

   She was born on August 9, 1929, in Kent County, MI, the daughter of Ellsworth and Clara Belle (Seabolt) Deater.

   She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, baking, camping, music and dancing.

   Surviving are 4 children, Bonnie (Harold) Musall of Alden, Roger Grody (Sue Luton) of Mancelona, Beatrice Grody (Tony Napont) of Boyne City, and Brenda Grody of Mancelona.

    In addition to her children, she is also survived by 7 grandchildren, Norman, Salina, Eric, Christa, Shannon, Scott and Kailee as well as many great grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

   Preceding her in death were her husband Bill Grody, a daughter Tootie Mahone, grandson Kyle Grody, 2 brothers Walter and Charles Deater and her parents.

   Funeral services will take place on Thursday, September 8, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.   Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services.

   Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Mancelona.
