Felicia Baginski

Felicia Monique Baginski, 64, of Charlevoix, passed away on December 31, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on February 23, 1957, in Romeo, MI, the daughter of James and Marilyn (Watters) Fix.

Felicia was a loving mother to her children and a supportive wife to her husband, Andy, to whom she was married for 33 years. She managed her husband’s company and dedicated her spare time to decorating her parish for all holy days, seasons, and special events. Her passion was to use her artistic talents to communicate the glory, majesty, and power of God by decorating her home parish with elaborate depictions of the Nativity, the Passion of Christ, and other Biblical events. Her mission in volunteering was to inspire people back to God. Felicia did this for over 25 years in multiple churches throughout Southeastern Michigan, most notably, Sts. Cyril and Methodius Church in Sterling Heights, MI.

After nearly 27 years of vacationing to Charlevoix, they made it their permanent home in 2019. Felicia enjoyed gardening, walking the property her and Andy owned, and creating a home for her family. Her home was immaculately clean, meticulously managed, with a home cooked meal every night. She was never hesitant to do a home project like building and planting a vegetable garden, raise chickens, pick wild berries and propagated mushrooms, or sit in a deer stand to watch wildlife. Her bird feeders were always full, her rose bushes manicured, and her sunbathing chair was never far away with an ice-cold beer.

Family and Faith were the most important things in Felicia’s life. She was always a phone call away from someone who wanted to talk. She carried a rosary everywhere she went. And she was always willing to babysit a niece, nephew, or loved one.

Felicia is survived by her loving husband, Andrew Baginski; three children, Simon Baginski, Veronica Baginski, and Jordan (Kirstyn) Baginski; three brothers, Jeff, Chris, and Jamie; and two sisters, Anita, and Philomena.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Michael.

A funeral mass will take place at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, January 7, 2022 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Charlevoix. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 6 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. with a Rosary beginning at 4:00 at the Charlevoix Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
