Eric L. Madagame

Eric L. Madagame,  59, of Bellaire, passed away following his battle with lung cancer with his wife Jill and beloved dog Keya by his side.

    Eric was born on August 1, 1964, in Bellaire, the son of Leonard and Georgina (Kidder) Madagame.

   His first love was being with his wife Jill.   No matter what they did he enjoyed it as long as they were together.   They often would take long rides through the Jordan Valley watching all the wildlife mother nature had to offer.  

   He was a lifelong resident of Antrim County and a member of the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians.

   On September 3, 2023, four hours prior to him passing, he married his longtime sweetheart Jill E. Moeke who survives.

   Also surviving are his beloved dog Keya, 2 sisters, Cheryl Madagame of Alba, Anita (George) Arnold of Mancelona, and his mother-in-law Sharon Moeke of Mancelona.

   He was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved cat Brody Girl and his father-in-law Burton Moeke.

   Funeral services will be on Friday, September 8, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.

   Visitation will also be on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the beginning of services at the funeral home.

   Memorial contributions may be made to the family or charity of the donors choice.
