Emelie Braun

Emelie Lorene Braun, 80, of East Jordan, Michigan passed away on August 18, 2025.

Emelie was born on January 31, 1945, in Louisville, KY, the daughter of Coleman and Charlene (Miles) Noble. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Ron, sons Roger (Beth), Jeff (Heather), Greg (Sarah) and Steve (Amber), and grandchildren Sarah, Finn, Daphne and Oriah.

She was raised by her mother and extended family in Detroit, Michigan. She graduated from Henry Ford High School and Wayne State University (1966) where she received a degree in Education. While in college, she met her husband and many lifelong friends.

Emelie and Ron were married on December 16, 1966 in Detroit, Michigan. They raised their family in Livonia, Michigan, Westport, Connecticut, and West Bloomfield, Michigan. She was active in many educational and community activities and then became the administrator of Ron’s computer businesses in the Detroit area in the 80’s and 90’s.

She enjoyed a long retirement, living in Northern Michigan, Hilton Head Island and Florida, surrounded by many friends old and new. She loved playing piano and took up painting and many other creative pursuits. She participated in the Plein Air painters groups in Charlevoix, Michigan and her art work was displayed in local galleries and art shows.

Emelie spent the final months of her life in Alzheimer’s care at Aspen Ridge in Gaylord, MI and Meadow Brook in Bellaire, MI where she was well cared for and had daily visits from her husband, Ron and frequent visits from her children, grandchildren, and close friends.
