Eloise L. Litwaitis

Eloise L. Litwaitis,  90, of Central Lake, passed away on October 3, 2025.

   She was born on June 1, 1935, in Central Lake, the daughter of Henry and Altha (O’Dell) Drogt.

   Eloise was a member of the Ellsworth Wesleyan Church and for many years played piano and organ for multiple area churches.

   Her greatest love was time spent with her family, especially hosting the many get together’s at the house.   She enjoyed traveling, especially to Alaska ( 9 times), as well as the U.P. To visit water falls and light houses.

   In her younger years, she enjoyed snow shoeing and cross country skiing.

   Surviving are 9 children, Connie (Finton) Galloup of Traverse City, Christine (Jay) Rogers of Central Lake, Carol Newman of Marysville, WA, Jeanne (David) Kops of DeWitt, MI, Joannie (Mark) Deblock of Holton, MI, Chris (John) Westbrook of White Cloud, MI, Terry (Gary) Gillette of East Jordan, Tracy (Mark) Carney of Lady Lake, FL, Rod (Marie) Leathers of Central Lake, 36 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

   Preceding her in death were her husband John Litwaitis, a son Ken James, 3 daughters, Cyndi Childers, Collette Murray, Candy Livingston, 2 grandsons, Adam Galloup, and  Zachary Childers, 3 brothers, Henry Drogt Jr., William Drogt, Walter Drogt, a sister Dorothy McDowell and her parents.

   Funeral services will take place on Friday, October 10, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes with Pastor Chris Wallace officiating.

   Visitation will be from 12 noon until the time of services.

   Burial will follow in Southern Cemetery, Central Lake Township.

   Memorial contributions may be made to Operation Smile, 3641 Faculty Boulevard, Virginia Beach, VA., 23453.

   Arrangements are in the care of the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
