EDITH E. BELL 94, of Central Lake, died on Mon., April 21, 2008 at the Eastport Village Care Home. Edith was born on October 4, 1913 in Belding, Michigan, the daughter of Albert and Mary (Somerville) Lewis. Edith resided in Central Lake since 1979 and was a long time member of the Grace Community Church. She enjoyed her great grandchildren as well as cleaning, cooking, crocheting and knitting. She is survived by a son Robert (Nancy) Loper of Elk Rapids, two half sisters, Marcella (Howard) Buffman of Central Lake, Hester Somerville of Pontiac, four grandchildren, Charlene (Bob) Widrig of Traverse City, Maureen (Doug) Gayford of Traverse City, Nancy (Chuck) Drinkwine of Kewadin, Robert Loper of North Carolina, 4 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Herman Bell, three brothers, Harry, Bert and Walter Lewis, a half brother Floyd LaValley and two sisters, Myrtle Kaiser and Mable Russell. Funeral services will held on Thursday, April 24, 2008 at Two p.m.at the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. Pastor Julie Greyerbiehl will officiate. Interment will follow in Southern Cemetery, Central Lake. Visitation will take place on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. also at the funeral home.
