On August 26, 2020, Doris Elaine Hott of Central Lake passed away at the age of 90 years.

Doris is survived by her children:  Joyce (Rex) Hagood of Bellaire, Robert (Beverly) Hott of Central Lake and William (Gaye) Hott of Ellsworth; grandchildren:  Marla Johnson, Brent (Maureen) Hagood, Adam (Rose) Hott, Kelly Hott, Samantha Stanley and Sara Croteau; great-grandchildren:  Hailey Hochrein, Layla Croteau and Jonathan (Susanne) Johnson; and great-great grandchildren, Liam and Eli.  She is also survived by her sisters, Grace (Duff) Temple and Janet (Claude) Krause, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Doris was predeceased by her beloved husband of 47 years, Richard (“Dick”) Hott, and her sisters, Irene and Frances.

Doris was born in Detroit, Michigan to Harold and Frances (Smith) Annetts.  She met Dick on a hayride in 1946, and they were married in December 1947.  After living in Detroit for eight years, they moved to Waterford, Michigan to raise their family.  Doris went back to school in her thirties in order to become a registered nurse, a lifelong dream.  She worked as a nurse at St. Joseph Hospital in Pontiac after her graduation.   After they retired, Doris and Dick moved to Central Lake where Dick had spent many summers as a child.

The family will have a private celebration of life at a later date.

Memorial donations may be made in Doris' name to Hospice of Michigan, 989 Spaulding SE, Ada, MI 49301.
