Don Williams

Don Williams,  86, of Mancelona, passed away on April 2, 2026.

   He was born on April 29, 1939 in Alba, MI  to Esther L. Williams.

   Don was a devout Catholic and a long time, active member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Mancelona.   He was a master plumber and member of the Local 98 union out of Detroit.

   He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a workaholic from a young age until his passing.

   On February 29, 1956, in Pontiac, MI he married Mary A. Carter who survives.   Also surviving are 2 children, David (Candy) Williams of Duncan, OK, Marie (James) Toole of Harviell,  MO, 2 brothers, Robert (Val) Tannehill of Fenton, MI, Gary Tannehill of Columbia, TN, a sister Arla Tannehill of Lebanon, OH, 4 grandchildren, Mindy, Ashley (Connor), Brooke (Patrick), Justin, 13 great-grandchildren, Zoe, Rico, Lilia, Isaiah, Emma, Gabby, Ian, A.J. Liam, Colin, Vivian, Logan and Lenya as well as one great-great-granddaughter Corina Rose.

   Preceding him in death were his mother Esther Tannehill, brother Clifford Williams and twin grandsons Bryan and David Williams.

   Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Mancelona with visitation from 9:00 a.m. until time of mass.

   Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Mancelona Township.

   Memorial contributions may be made to the Antrim County Baby Pantry, P.O. Box 154, Central Lake, MI,  49622 (mailing), or to St. Anthony Catholic Church, 209 Jefferson St., Mancelona, MI,  49659.
