Don Allen Hancock

Don Allen Hancock, 93, of Prudenville, passed away on October 19, 2026. He was born on March 12, 1933, in Taylor, the son of Hart and Lillie (Rust) Hancock.

Don was an avid sports fan, and enjoyed playing tennis, basketball, and running. He had a passion for the Michigan Wolverines football team and rarely missed a chance to watch them on television. In his free time, he also liked going to garage sales, near or far, reading Louis L’Amour books, and listening to old hymns. Don was a schoolteacher in Dearborn for 30 years, as well as working in real estate for over 20 years.

Surviving Don in death are his three children, David (Stephanie) Hancock, of Goodyear, AZ, Philip Hancock of Dearborn, MI, Laurie Eld, of Prudenville, one sister, Ellen Savage of Dearborn, ten grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death is his loving wife Elizabeth (Tyrrell) Hancock, one brother, Jack, and one sister, Fran Schlyer.

Interment will take place at Lakeview Cemetery in Eastport at a later date.
