Dominick M. Ritchie, age 56, of Bellaire, passed away on July 9, 2026, surrounded by his loving wife and children.
Dominick was born on November 30, 1969, in Lansing. He will be remembered for the love he shared with his family and the lasting presence he leaves in the hearts of those who knew him.
The most important part of Dominick’s life was his family. He deeply loved his wife, Michele, and his two children, Chase Ritchie of Bellaire and Cybil Ritchie of Ft. Myers, Florida. They were his greatest joy and the center of his world.
Dominick loved spending time outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He found joy in the quiet moments of nature and in sharing those experiences with the people he loved.
Dominick began his career in construction at the age of 19 and quickly proved to be very talented in the field. He worked in construction throughout his entire life, taking pride in his skill, dedication, and strong work ethic. Most recently, he served as a Foreman for Willson Construction.
Dominick was a dedicated coach who had a meaningful and lasting influence on the lives of many young athletes and students. His guidance, encouragement, and wisdom extended far beyond the field, and many of those young adults continued to seek his advice and support until recently.
Surviving are his wife, Michele; children, Chase and Cybil; granddaughter, Brooklyn McElhaney; mother, Diane, and stepfather, Gordon Henney; siblings, Dionn (Dave) Marshall, Daris Rogers, Jennifer (Bryan) Russell, Micole (Nick) Holton, Rachel (Bill) Rogers, Kurtis Rogers, Steven Rogers, and Ben (Autumn) Henney; and many nieces, nephews, and special friends too numerous to name.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Faith Allen; brother, Tony Henney; biological father, Gary Johnson; and step father Dallas Rogers.
Graveside services will take place Saturday, July 18, at 11 a.m. at Southern Cemetery in Central Lake. A luncheon will follow at the V.F.W. Memorial contributions may be made to the CLPS Power Lifting Program, P.O. Box 128, Central Lake, MI 49622.
