Diane Marie Sowa

Diane M. Sowa,  70, of Charlevoix, passed away on June 18, 2023.

   She was born on November 15, 1952, in South Bend, IN,  the daughter of Lyman and Shirley (Armour) Moorehead.

   Diane enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening and reading.   However, her greatest joy was her family as well as her cats.

   Surviving are 4 children, Karon (Louis) Rios of Chino HIlls, CA, Tara (Ryan) Major of Orange, MA, Jeremy (Danielle) Sowa of Petoskey, Cory Sowa (Katina Shelden) of Battle Creek, MI, 4 grandchildren, Bee, Amanda, Cas, and Jaxxon, 1 great-grandchild, Rudy, and 2 sisters, Donna (Steve) Oldham of Gaffney, SC, and Barbara (Doug) Crawford of Moraga, CA.

   She was preceded in death by her parents.

   No services are planned.

   Memorial contributions may be made to the Charlevoix Area Humane Society, 614 Beardsley St., Boyne City, MI,  49712.

   Arrangements are in the care of the Charlevoix Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
