Diana Higginson

Diana Lynn Higginson, 70, of Charlevoix, formerly of Allen Park, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 19, 2023.  She was born on September 5, 1952 in Detroit, MI, the daughter of Charles and Tillie (Nycz) Higginson.

Diana graduated from Allen Park High School, and went on to work at several law offices as a legal secretary in the greater Detroit area.  On July 30, 1983, she married the love of her life, David Wido, in Franklin, MI.  Upon retiring, they moved to Charlevoix permanently to enjoy life away from the big city.  Diana enjoyed tending to her flower gardens, crafting, collecting dolls, and spending time with family. 

Diana is survived by two sons, Thomas (Elizabeth) Higginson of Ann Arbor, MI, and David (Kristin) Wido of Livonia, MI; three sisters, Patricia Nissley of Ballston Lake, NY, Ruth Higginson of Trenton, MI, and Nancy (Joe) Benso of Wood Haven, MI; four grandchildren; and her two lap dogs, Lacy and Darla.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her beloved husband, David Wido.

Diana’s family has chosen to celebrate her life privately.
