Delwin Morris

Delwin L. Morris, 94, passed away peacefully at his home on May 11, 2026.

He was born February 20, 1932 in Elmira, Michigan to Artie and Rena Morris.

Delwin is survived by his wife of 66 years, Gloria (Richards) and his children Kim (Paul) Steffen of Port Washington, WI, Randy (Michelle) Morris of East Jordan, Dave Morris of East Jordan, and Tracy Morris of Ash, NC; 9 Grandchildren and 11 Great-Grandchildren. He was loved and will be missed by additional family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his son Kelly Morris, twin brother Darwin, and his sister Fern Morris.

Delwin was a proud member of the U.S. Army. He served in Germany during the Korean Conflict for the Army Security Intelligence. He retired from East Jordan Iron Works in 1994.

Delwin enjoyed living in Jordan Township on the land he and his brother and sister were raised on. In the fall, you would find him deer hunting on that same land.

A love of sports and family resonated throughout his life: from participating in softball, bowling, and golf to following his children's success in all the sports they chose to compete in, to the day-to-day results of the Detroit Tigers and the other Michigan pro and college teams.

Delwin lived a long and full life rich in friendships. He will be deeply missed, fondly remembered, and his memory will be carried forward in stories, laughter, and connections he made throughout his life.

In accordance with his wishes, no public service will be held.
