David Tacoronte

David William Tacoronte, 56, of Central Lake, passed away on September 4, 2024, at home. He was born on June 27, 1968, in El Cajon, CA, the son of William Euvusio Tacoronte and Elisabeth Ann Chamberlin(Stafford).

David was a very outgoing and social person who could make friends with anybody. He never met a stranger. Not many knew him by his first name, many knew him as "Taco". He had a voracious love for life and always lived life to the fullest. He lived several places throughout his life but would eventually settle in Michigan to be close to his children. David however truly left his heart in Hawaii, having lived many years there. He was passionate about the islands and dreamt of returning and retiring there one day. David had many interests and hobbies. He loved surfing in his younger years, traveling, kayaking, snowshoeing, a great cigar with good conversation and a great glass of wine. David was also an avid gun enthusiast and loved nothing more than to spend the day with friends target shooting. Taco was a bartender by trade and loved his job and the people he got to meet while working. Most recently he worked at Ernesto's Cigar Lounge and The Blue Pelican and loved everyday of work. He was heartbroken when he became too ill to continue working and missed his colleagues and patrons terribly. They were all family to Taco. In April of 2019 he would meet his future wife, Kimberly. They would go on to be married in October 2021. They may have met later in life and their time together cut short by illness but they enjoyed every moment together and loved each other deeply. He will be greatly missed by many.

Surviving David in death are his loving wife, Kimberly, sister Jill (Tim) Steiner, brother Scott Chamberlin, sons Alexander and Leo, stepdaughter Breanne (Jordan) Becker, in-laws Gayle (Dan) Walquist, three grandchildren, Greyson, Liam, Logan, niece Allisa Troutman, and many other family and friends.

Preceding him in death are his parents and sister, Cathy Kyle.

Arrangements are in the care of the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
