Christopher "CJ" Kunkle

Christopher James Kunkle, 33, of Charlevoix, passed away on July 8, 2026.

Christopher was born on July 17, 1992, in Petoskey, Michigan, to Kenneth and June (Kearley) Kunkle.

Christopher enjoyed spending his time playing baseball, video games, and collecting and watching movies. He was a devoted fan of professional wrestling and found great joy in spending time playing with his nephew Wyatt.

He will be remembered for his love of family, his kind heart, and the happiness he found in the things he loved

Christopher is survived by his loving parents, Kenneth and June Kunkle; his brothers, Cody Galy and Shayn Galy; his favorite nephew, Wyatt Galy ,and many other family members and friends who will cherish his memory.

Family and Friends are invited to gather in memory of CJ on July 26, 2026, between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. at 6376 Old 31 South, Charlevoix, MI 49720. There will be no formal service.

Arrangements are in the care of the Charlevoix Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
