Charles Shafer

Charles I. Shafer Sr., 69 of Central Lake, died Saturday, December 21, 2019 at home.  He was born August 24, 1950 in Ypsilanti the son of Earl and Lucille (Towler) Shafer Sr.

Charlie served 2 tours of duty for the US Army during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed listening to good music and talking to anyone who would listen.  Charlie also enjoyed watching science fiction movies and growing flowers.

Surviving are his children Kelle (Ayman) Al-Shabanah, Anthony (Amanda) Shafer, Charles I. Shafer Jr., grandchildren Sydney, Sierra, Arah, Mishahri, Aidan, Mazikeen, brothers Timothy (Mary) Shafer, Jamie (Peggy) Shafer, and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Earl Shafer and sister Lucille McNeil.

No services are planned at this time.  Memorial contributions can be given to the Central Lake V.F.W.
