Charles "Chuck" Kirts

Charles "Chuck" Ray Kirts, 63, of Bellaire, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 16, 2026. He was born on September 20, 1962, the son of Marvin and Judy (Watrous) Kirts.

Charles attended Bellaire Public Schools before moving downstate for a number of years. He returned to Bellaire to care for his mother and worked at several local restaurants, most recently BC Pizza, which he considered his second home. He also ran his own snow removal and lawncare business.

Charles had a huge heart and would do anything for anybody. He also had a special love for all animals, taking care of many pets over the years. He loved cruising around in his 1997 Firebird convertible which he always kept very clean, and occasional trips to the casino. He enjoyed spending time with his nephews any chance he could. He will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew him.

Charles is survived by his siblings, Dale Kirts, and Sheryl (Alan) Guy; four nephews, Patrick Guy, Bradley Guy (Analise Hanson), Aaron Kirts, and Ryan Kirts; his great-niece, Kennedy; his great-nephew, Oliver; and a community of friends, as well as his BC Pizza Family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Marvin Kirts, his stepfather, Kenneth Miller, and his mother, Judy Miller.

A funeral service will take place at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, July 24, at the Bellaire Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes with Pastor Gary Bekkering officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services at noon.
