Catherine Huffman

Catherine M. Huffman, 48, of Bellaire, passed away on May 16, 2016 at Munson Hospice House in Traverse City. Cathy was a Bellaire resident since 2005. She enjoyed camping, going to dirt track races and especially spending time with her son Fenix. On April 14, 2003, in Gratiot County, MI, she married Michael D. Huffman who survives. Also surviving are 5 children, Sara (Robert) Coggins of Houghton Lake, MI, Tiffany Bailey of Bellaire, Amanda (Cliff) Shaler of Elwell, MI, Carilynn Huffman of Laingsburg, MI, Fenix Huffman of Bellaire, 6 siblings, Bessie, Grace, Diane, Kirsten, Starr, David, and 8 grandchildren, Marty, Mercedes, Averi, Jaelee, Clifford, Alivia, Atlas, and Violet. Visitation will take place on Thursday, May 19 from 5-8 p.m. at the Bellaire Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. Funeral services will be on Friday, May 20, at 1:00 p.m. also at the funeral home with Rev. Ken Bernthal officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
