Candy J. Bishaw

Candy J. Bishaw,  59, of Central Lake, passed away on January 21, 2026.

   She was born on November 16, 1966, in Petoskey, the daughter of John and Irene (Pruitt) Bishaw.

   Candy was in restaurant serving, and management,  for many years.   Sylvesters in Bellaire, Antrim Dells and Points North Inn to name a few.   She enjoyed keeping in touch with her family,  as well as mushroom hunting and visiting casinos with her late mother Irene.

   She also loved spending time with her nephew “Buckshot” as well of her dog Bandit both of whom she spoiled on a daily basis.

   Surviving are a son Matt Bishaw of Central Lake, brother Daniel Bishaw of Central Lake, sister Ronna (Rex) Whetstone of Westland as well as her nephew Daniel “Buckshot” Bishaw of Central Lake among other nieces and nephews.

   Preceding her in death were her parents, 2 brothers  Tim and Mark Bishaw, her aunt Liz and Uncle Greg Coon.

There will be a viewing on Friday, February 6, 2026, from 2-5 p.m.at the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.   There will be no formal service at this time.

   Graveside services will take place in the spring at the Ellsworth Cemetery.   Date and time of services will be posted in the spring once plans are finalized.

   Arrangements are in the care of the Central Lake Chapel of  Mortensen Funeral Homes.
