Barbara Jean Marshall

Barbara Jean Marshall, 88, of Bellaire, passed away July 6, 2022. She was born September 25, 1933, the daughter of John and Margaret (Boroff) Conway.

Barb had a passion for sewing, scrapbooking, and crocheting. She had an entire room at her home dedicated to scrapbooking and you could find her there often. She enjoyed traveling, and even made it to Europe where she would visit Germany and Italy. When there was snow on the ground, you could find Barb on a snowmobile enjoying the Northern Michigan winter. Family was always important to her and she loved her children dearly.

She is survived by her son, Timothy Marshall of Grand Rapids, grandchildren, Correy Kowall of Mancelona, Dusty (Lori) Kowall of Milford, Maggie (Mike) Klopschinski of Bellaire, great grandchildren, Kylie and Kenny.

Preceding Barb in death are her parents, daughters, Diana Kelly and Annette Kowall, siblings, Bill, Bea Lockery, Betty Guyett, Bernard, John, Jim, and Ron.

Visitation will take place Monday, July 11, from 10am until 11am at the Bellaire Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. At 11am, a funeral service will take place with Pastor Dennis Currell officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery, Bellaire. A luncheon will take place at the Bellaire Wesleyan Fresh Start Church after the interment.

Memorial contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Cancer Society.
