Ann E. Gallagher- Luepnitz

Ann (Gallagher) Luepnitz, beloved wife, sister, and friend, passed away after a long and courageous battle with cancer on January 8, 2026, at the age of 61, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on May 21, 1964, in Lansing, Michigan, Ann was the daughter of Margaret (Stanton) Gallagher and Lester Gallagher. She grew up with strong family values that shaped the kindness, generosity, and quiet strength she carried throughout her life.

Ann married Andrew Luepnitz on May 8, 1999, and together they built a life centered on family, faith, and devotion to one another. Her family was the center of her life.

Ann had a warm heart and a generous spirit. Whether through a listening ear or time spent together, Ann made meaningful connections that will be deeply missed.

She enjoyed golf, puzzles, sitting at the beach, and teaching her favorite card game “Swoop” to family and friends.

Ann is survived by her loving husband, Andrew Luepnitz; her sisters, Mary (Michael) Rudy and Patty (Bruce) DeRosia; her brothers, Thomas (Merle) Gallagher and Lester Gallagher; and many nieces, nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret (Stanton) Gallagher and Lester Gallagher.

Visitation will be held on January 11, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Mortensen Funeral Home, with a Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m.

A funeral service will be held on January 12, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., at St. Mary’s Cathedral in Charlevoix, Michigan.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Charlevoix Area Humane Society, in honor of Ann’s life and legacy.

Ann will be remembered for her kindness, devotion to family, and the quiet grace with which she lived her life. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
