Andrea E. McClaine

Andrea Elizabeth McClaine, of Bellaire and Ocala, FL, passed away peacefully, on June 20, 2023, in Ocala, FL. She was born on August 9, 1976, in Grand Rapids, the daughter of Brian and Patricia (Haviland) McClaine.

Andrea loved Florida and being near the ocean. She had a passion for cooking and enjoyed making holiday meals for the family. She loved gardening too, specifically her spice garden which she used in much of her cooking.  Andrea always had a sweet spot for animals. In specific, her two pit bulls, Princess and Zorro, her bird Charlie, and her turtle, Turd.  She was especially fond of her cat Twiggy, which she inherited from her mother.  Andrea was known as “Red” to many of her friends because of her flowing long hair and could often be found doing her gel nails in her spare time.

Surviving Andrea in death is her father, and her brother Billy Bohannon (Laura Hartley) of Bellaire.

Preceding her in death is her mother, daughter Madeline DePew, step-dad Jack Bohannon.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, July 11th, from 12-2 p.m. at the Bellaire Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. A funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. Interment will take place at Lakeview Cemetery in Bellaire following the funeral service.
