Amanda Marianne Seidel was born April 23, 1986, at Darnell Army Hospital at Fort Hood Texas, the daughter of Joseph and Gail (Lewke) Seidel.
She passed to the hands of the Lord on September 15, 2025.
She attended Ellsworth Community Schools, Washington Elementary in Mt Clemens Mi., Fort Meade Elementary school in Maryland, and graduated from Northwest Academy and Aquinas College.
She worked various jobs and was excited to start a new job at her favorite store, Olson's in Charlevoix.
Amanda liked to travel, drive places, scary movies, and most music. She was an avid reader and liked to crochet. She attended many ComiCon's with her best friend Jackie Riley Tennyson dressed as different characters. Amanda played the flute and bass clarinet which she lovingly called Clarence. She especially loved taking care of her three rescued fur babies, Watson, Phoebe and new addition, Pirate. Amanda volunteered for several years at the Charlevoix Humane Society where she adopted pet cats.
She was preceded in death by her beloved younger brother Joseph Glenn "Joey" Seidel, her grandparents, her Aunt Glenda and Uncle Bruce.
Amanda is survived by her loving parents, Joseph and Gail Seidel, her beloved pets, her Uncle Brian, Aunt Shelly Lewke, Uncle Ken, Aunt Wendy Lewke, cousins, Jennifer Tortora (Lewke), Ken Jr. Lewke, Kimberly Picolo, Barb Miller, Jan and Bill Dohm, extended family members and her best friend, Jackie Riley Tennyson.
A funeral will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at the Barnard Methodist Church, 15978 Klooster Rd., Charlevoix, MI 49720. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 26, at the Charlevoix Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. There will be an additional hour of visitation at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the service begins at 11:00. Amanda will be laid to rest at Barnard Cemetery next to her brother Joey and her paternal grandparents.
