Adeline Jansen

Adeline Joyce Huntley Jansen died peacefully at home with her family by her side. Addie was born November 15, 1938, to Haskell and Violet Huntley in Gagetown, Michigan.

If one were to look up the definition of selfless love, they would read, one who is more concerned of others needs then they are of their own needs. This definition is a glimpse of our Mother. The magic of her everyday life included gardening, cooking, and spending time with family. Her doors were always open, and she loved feeding friends and family. She enjoyed crocheting, playing bingo, and walks on the boardwalk in Vero Beach, FL.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Jansen, and by siblings: Bill Huntley, Anna Mae Waddell, Alzina Whiting, Junior Huntley, Genevieve Rickard and Dick Huntley. She is survived by sisters: Caroline Brewer and by husband Ance, Collie McIntyre and husband Bud, and Danielle Granger; and by her six children: Joe McCurdy, his wife Maryann, children Tiffanie and Joseph Jr.; Jannet Provost and husband Pat, children Robert and Sara; Ann Marie Vincent, significant other Dave, children Stephanie and Shannon; Ben McCurdy, significant other Holly, and daughter Brandy; Patti Berry and husband Craig, children Jill, Laikin and Braidon; Ginny Henson and children Elizabeth, Eric and Sean. She had 13 great grandchildren and an immense love for all babies.

There will be a private service for immediate family and friends at Mortensen’s Funeral Home in Ellsworth, MI, on March 13th at 4pm. Visitation will be held 1-4 pm. A dinner celebrating her life will be held after services in Ellsworth, MI.

Arrangements are in the care of the Hastings Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.  Please sign her online guestbook at www.mortensenfuneralhomes.com
