Adam Jones

Adam Wayne Jones, 35, of Flushing, passed away on July 2, 2024, at McLaren Northern Michigan Hospital. He was born on September 21, 1988, in Flint, the son of Mike Jones and Lynnette Day.

Adam grew up in the flushing area and remained there most of his life. He worked various jobs over the years, but most recently, he had settled into a steady job as a machinist. As a young man, he developed an interest in Buddhism, and dedicated much of his life to further his knowledge of the religion. He spent several years studying at Wat Dhammasala Forest Monastery in Perry, MI, and often went back to visit after leaving.

Adam loved to spend time outdoors simply enjoying all of its’ beauty. He grew up spending time in the woods and hunting with his dad North of Harrison, Michigan. He enjoyed camping, and coming up north to visit his mom in Pellston. He also liked to work on computers and play videogames in his free time. Adam’s family was most important to him, especially his daughter, Nova, who was his whole world.

Adam is survived by his parents, Lynnette Day, and Mike (Carol) Jones; his daughter, Nova Jones; his sister, DeAnna Jones; his brother, Aaron Minor; two step-sisters, Rebecca (Tracy) Yolton, and Angela (Jason) Dodd; his girlfriend, Lily; the mother of his daughter, Christina Wolf; and many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Buel and Patsy Jones, Stannette and Frank Malosky, and Dick Day; as well as his Aunt Cathy Jones.

Adam’s family will celebrate his life privately
