Ada Ransom

Ada L. Ransom, 80, of Central Lake, died June 29, 2012 at McLaren-Northern Michigan Hospital in Petoskey. She was born April 10, 1932 in Central Lake the daughter of Benjamin and June (Coleman) Ablett. Ada was a lifelong resident of Central Lake. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and art work. Surviving are her children Norene (James) Bacon of Petoskey, Mike Ransom of Mancelona, Ben Ransom of Iron River, Arminda Ransom of Mill Spring, NC, Terry Lee Ransom of Kalamazoo, Arlinda Ransom of Charleston, SC, Kristine Ransom of Traverse City, 17 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, brother John Ablett of Central Lake, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband John Ransom, sister Norine Tichman, and her parents. No services are planned at this time.
